Community Pediatrics, a service of Knox Community Hospital, has been certified and is officially the first and only Knox county service site for teen screening for mental health and suicide risks based upon the national mental health and suicide risk screening model program for youth, created by Columbia University in New York.
Four million children and adolescents in the United States suffer from a serious mental disorder that causes significant, functional impairments at home, at school, and with peers. Half of all mood, anxiety, impulse-control and substance-use disorders start by age 14.
If you have a child that you have suspicions about changes in his or her behavior at home or school performance, call our office at (740) 393-9111.
Screenings are free and kept confidential! Call for an appointment today.
